I loved my time at the ice museum. It is small but definitely nice. The appletini is definitely delicious. You can purchase it when you buy your tickets to go to the museum. The lend you a parka before you go in.

There's not many sculptures or carvings in the museum. You can finish looking at them within 5mins. The best part of the experience is having the appletini at the Aurora Ice Bar. It cost $15 per glass, which you can prepay for it at the...More

Wonderful ice sculptures and you can head to the Aurora Ice Bar to get an Appletini. You get to keep your ice glass and break it outsdie afterwards. They provide jackets for you as it's quite cold in there, but cool sculptures to see.

Fun little big tent made of ice with great ice sculptures, a bar fully made of ice with ice drinks and some rooms where you could stay overnight. It gets a bit crowded as the doors only open once an hour to keep the cold...More

We only came here as we were spending the day at Chena Hot Springs - and ran out of things to do - we had already been to the Ice Museum in Fairbanks so thought it would be similar. Wrong - it was bigger and...More

If you're staying in Fairbanks & looking for Chena Springs this Ice Museum is literally in the same parking lot. But it's a 1hr drive out from the city. It's not the same ice museum that's in Fairbanks city limits. It was cold and thrilling!!...More

This was weird. We drove to this place and went into the lobby. No one there. Finally some odd man comes out from the back room holding a back scratcher. Just didn't get a good vibe so we left. Seemed like a tourist trap. And...More

Amazing attraction, not that many world wide. Several bedrooms available, colored lights added to the beauty, many ice cravings on a large scale. Parkas free to wear as was 20 degrees thru out chambers.

Ok the ice scupltures were nice to look at, but they offer a $15 apple-tini to drink at the bar and you keep the glass- which is made of ice and would melt. We were inside about 15 min and saw everything (we didn't drink)....More

Absolutely go to the Hot Springs on your own. I love renting a car and exploring the area on my own. Purchase tickets for the Hot springs and/or the Ice Museum in the gift shop at the time you visit. It is a great visit.

Definitely a bathing suit for the hot springs, but a coat for the museum. It is cold in the ice museum. As I recall, they do have heavy jackets that you can wear. We went in February so had warm coats and gloves... More

They provide you with winter jackets at the aurora ice museum, so there is no need to bring a parka if you are traveling in june. I would say to be sure to bring a swim suit to the hot springs, and to wear comfortable... More
