Beautiful place to stroll, take a rest on many of the benches, see the Statue of Liberty, watch the ferries crossing the river and enjoy the magnificent Brooklyn Bridge. The Promenade is adjacent to a great neighborhood with fabulous restaurants on Montague and Court Streets.

There are so many places to get lost in Brooklyn ... in a good way. The Brooklyn Heights Promenade is one of those places. It has friendly people, but not so many you can't move. There are plenty of clean places to sit and enjoy the view. Even with a cold wind coming in, the walk was thoroughly enjoyable.

See Lower Manhattan from a great perspective. The Promenade offers a look at New York that harkens back to a bygone era with the exception of all the new construction taking place below. It vibrates NYC with the Ferry, River traffic, copters and the overall vibrancy of the City. It's particularly beautiful at night.

The Brooklyn Promenade is absolutely one of the most peaceful places in all of New York. The picturesque view at night is unreal. It's easily one of the most romantic spots in all of the city, especially on a late Spring/early Autumn night.

The promenade is the best place for a combined view of lower Manhattan, the Freedom Tower, the Statue of Liberty and Governor's island.

Some of the best views of downtown Manhattan here (until they built the Brooklyn park). But it's higher elevation gives you good clearance. it's a short stretch, behind are the beautiful brownstones of the neighborhood known as Brooklyn Heights. Visit local shops and cafe's in the fairly quite true NY neighborhood.

We did like the views of Manhattan. Our 4-year old really enjoyed the swings, fountains and huge sandbox but we were disgusted with the only bathroom and The Line leading there. And if you buy any food be aware of paying triple for the same junk food. I forgot to tell that we have never been there in fall or... More
