Good Stop to Understand the Area, and What Formed It

Great stop to see the entire park in miniature, plus to get a feel for the forces that formed the area. Nice ice cream parlor there too for sweet treats. Recommended!

My husband and I visited in August 2016 and we initially stopped in for ice cream. (It was delicious!). We discovered interactive displays, unique pieces of art, and lots of beautiful gift ideas. We ended up purchasing a pottery bowl with an elk emblem on it. We wrapped it and mailed it to my sister as a gift. Unfortunately it... More

This location is interesting with all things Montana, locally distilled beer and spirits, ( not good if you're the driver) and horseback rentals. My only negative is the horse rides....we went in what was supposed to be a 3 hour ride and it was only 100 minutes and the steak dinner was just ok. $13o each! Ouch

While we really enjoyed the second half of the day, the river rafting with Wild River Adventures next door, the morning on horseback left much to be desired. We rode for almost 3 hours in a trail loop behind the venue. It was a boring trail with no views except at lunchtime. The guides were lovely - kept up a... More

Hi j.c. G, Thank you for providing a review from your Saddle Paddle trip. Wild River Adventures is a great partner and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to provide such a well-rounded experience with them. We needed a place to grab some ice-cream and one of this kids noticed that there was a small petting zoo outside this restaurant. There was a lot to see here and the ice cream and deserts were amazing.

There is a Mexican restaurant adjoining the Center, and it's quite good. My 4-year-old grandson ate all of his soft beef taco, which is saying a lot, as he can be picky. My husband also had tacos, and I requested a vegan burrito -- not on the menu, but they graciously accommodated. The food was fresh and delicious and inexpensive.... More

My wife and I camped in Glacier for two nights and then the highlight of the trip was our overnight horseback ride. Our wranglers (Laura and Anna) where patient, kind and super helpful. The horses were idiot-proof and the trails were spectacular but not super difficult. We couldn't be happier with our experience!

We went on a two hour ride with two kids and four adults. The guide did a great job trying to teach the 8 year old what he needed to do to control his horse. The trail itself was lovely and all of the horses were beautiful and well behaved.
