If possible, spend several days in the area (I recommend the Grandview Inn) and take in all the sites in the National Recreation and surrounding areas. It is a diverse and breathtaking area.

Again we went viewing via our boat trip and the views were fabulous. The boat trip is a must and if you have time then do the walk as well.

Glen Canyon has a beautiful view. The rock formations against the water is gorgeous. If you get a chance, go visit the Glen Canyon Dam as well; its worth the trip!

Yes it is accessible in March -- probably no different than July. The weather is cool which would make for nice hiking and sightseeing -- better than July! However, Springtime can be windy.
