An easy walk to the breathtaking High Falls.

A great visitors center and paved walkway and boardwalk take you to the highest waterfall in Minnesota right on the border with Canada.

The two spots converging into one pool was so beautiful, and so loud as we were walking there. I would love to see this in the spring with the thaw as I bet the water is moving even faster!

This park is worth the stop before crossing the border into Canada or upon returning to the US/Minnesota. The walk to the falls from the welcome center is about 1 mile round trip, but well worth it. The waterfall is beautiful.

Of all the falls to see along the North Shore in Minnesota, one must view and experience the Pigeon River Falls in Grand Portage State Park. The short hike to the High Falls takes one along a scenic path in the woods where tall pines and birch trees line the walkway. The resounding water leads you to the High Falls;... More

We drove here after we returned from a stay at Isle Royale National Park. The interpretive center and grounds are clean and beautiful. This state park is a cooperative effort between Minnesota State Parks and the Ojibwa nation, and it is located within the reservation. This beautiful site does NOT require a MN state park sticker or day pass. As... More

This park is located right at the border of Minnesota and Ontario and has a beautiful, well maintained hiking trail. The High Falls is stunning, I've visited all of the waterfalls on the North Shore and this by far is my favorite. The falls is called the Niagara Falls of Minnesota and you'll have to see it to understand why... More

Compared to some of Minnesota's state park, this facility is close to the attraction most people come to see. It was very hot when we visited so even a half mile walk uphill was a challenge for some. The view of the falls is well worth the effort.

This is the largest waterfall we saw on our tour and it is quite impressive! We were able to get some beautiful shots of the falls.

My husband and I hiked...or rather walked this hike. It is a very easy hike...paved and with stairs at the end. The falls are quite lovely and definitely worth seeing.
