I think this area is the most convenient-you can quickly & easily get to attractions in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge---turn at traffic light #3 & all of the traffic seems to disappear. There is so much to see & do- a MUST area to visit!!

Don't go here early like before 11am most places closed for the season or not open until 11am. We got up early ate at the pancake house rode the historic motor trail and drove here it was a waste.

We enjoy visiting and buying from the local craftsmen. They are always friendly and helpful. Sometimes, you can actually watch them working on an item.

Favorite places include Firefly Glass Studio, Cliffdwellers and the adjacent galleries (Ogle Brooms and Jim Gray Gallery), The Fox and Parrot, Misty Mountain Soap, Alewine Pottery, Shaconage, Rocky Flats Pottery and Soap, Licklog Hollow Baskets, and Brandywine Pottery. There are a number of places we have not visited yet and others we have forgotten... More

The shops are kinda spread out so it is better to drive. We were there in the off season but it was still busy and some of the shops are small.

Great place to spend an afternoon discovering high quality, hand-crafted artistry from all medium; good places to grab lunch also.
