My friends and I visited Gatlinburg this passed week and noticed this antique shop. We tried to visit 3 times until we officially gave up on it. It's unfortunate to see the open sign on and find out it's closed by a small piece of paper tapped to the door saying: "Be back at 4:00". It is wonderful that you... More

We were just passing by this store in Gatlinburg and I noticed a beautiful candy dish in the window. My new hobby is looking for old candy dishes. We entered and were greeted by a man (Dan) and just started to look around. Of course i went to the candy dish I saw in the window. Soon Dan started to... More

My visits at Morton's have always been more than pleasant. Morton's is a family owned antique store. It is not a junk store or a secondhand used store like many "antique" stores that people visit these days. I've spent thousands of dollars at the Morton's antique store and have been more than satisfied with all of my purchases. It is... More

Reading the reviews for this place I had expected this, but it was still very disappointing. We came to Morton's Antiques in the middle of the day and had to turn around and leave because they were closed (they had forgotten to turn the lights off so it looked open). They really need to hire someone to help out when... More

My intent with this review is explain away all the bad reviews of this store. I too waited several days to catch this store open, however, once I was able to make it in, I learned it is FAMILY owned and operated. They are sometimes closed odd hours due to appointments and taking care of children. So be understanding to... More

Had stopped in this shop several years ago and thought items were overpriced but decided to check it out again since it had been awhile. The doors were locked when we arrived although it was during their posted open time. Another couple was also waiting. When the door was finally opened the owner(?)was speaking loudly on the phone and didn't... More

Attempted to bust daily by our hotel. First 5 Days no one was there during the posted hours. Many others attempted to visit as we did. Finally on day 6 the "open"light was on. Went to the door, sign said back in 3 minutes. Waited 10, guy finally showed up and did not want to let us in unless we... More

I thought the owner was very friendly and helpful when I went in there. He has such beautiful, expensive things in there so I don't blame him for not wanting any kids in there. His chandeliers are the most beautiful I've ever seen!!! I am coming back this Fall to buy 2 of them. We didn't have enough room in... More

We purchased a chandelier and it was delivered with a defect which Mr. Morton would not offer any assistance with. He talked to me in such a curt and demeaning way and insulted the professional competence of our licensed electrical contractor. He finally agreed about four months ago to about 10% of the repair and double installation costs and that... More
