Well worth the walk, located across from the "Ober Gatlinburg" tram ride.
Took our twin daughters and they loved the experience. Jon and David were excellent at explain the process and also explained what the girls found.
Well worth the time and a great experience!
We always stay right by this place but have never walked inside for years until recently. My kids loved it and got several really nice large stones. The people working there were very friendly and took time to tell you about each stone like they...More

Each type of stone has a set price cut per karat. $80-200 I think depending on what it is. They can help you select which ones are good to cut. We didn’t cut any but I might bring gone back to make a Mother’s Day gift from my kids to their mom. It took about 20 min maybe if you take your time and then you sit with the gem person who talks about what you found. There were 4-5 different sized buckets you can buy but I can’t remember the costs.
