We love to take the tram to the top of the Ober Gatlinburg as one of our must-dos every year. This was a title different because we got a birds eye view of the fire damage. But once at the top it wasn't much added. But the best addition was the new Alpine Coaster. Our family loved it. Unfortunately they... More

Ober Gatlinburg is a great destination while in town. The gondola ride is always great fun. It is always crowded - try and get one of the first cars if you can to avoid the crowds - because by mid-morning, you will spend 1 - 1 1/2 hours waiting in the turnstiles. While your waiting, it can be very annoying... More

I hate heights. Our friends talked us into going to the top to see all of Gatlinburg in this tram. It was terrifying but so worth it! Seeing everything up there, the shops, ice rink, etc. was so neat and I didn't freak out much going back down!

We drove up to Ober Gatlinburg to check things out. We ride the lift from the welcome center up to the top of the mountain. We also did the slide and coaster. It looks as if they are getting ready to do some work to the area. We thought the park had a lot to offer, but seems dated and... More

Tram experience was very enjoyable. Normally afraid of heights but I did not feel any anxiety as it felt like we were never to far from the ground. Grandkids loved the alpine slide and ski lift. Were disappointed with the coaster as person in front kept stopping which interfered with their experience

Wither your are going in winter, spring, summer or fall there are year around activities for the whole family. Even if you don't spend the day hanging out enjoying the attractions you can still enjoy the tram ride up the mountain. Stop and look at the views grab lunch and hop a ride back down. Amazing views, I recommend going as early as possible to avoid waiting in line but once you are up there it's beautiful!

Wow this place looked ancient! The buildings, rides, food service areas all look like they did in the 1970's. The entire development is is bad need of a makeover.
