A nice couple staying in our hotel was leaving and gave us a receipt to go up here (you can go twice in 24 hours). We went by ourselves (without kids in tow). The elevator ride was scary both up and down. The view was...More

Awesome, my kids and wife loved it. My worst nightmare. Scared of heights. But I made it. Go online and by the family pass and you will save atleast $10

There is an arcade at the bottom of this attraction and the elevator takes you to the top of the needle where you can view Gatlinburg . The view you get is awesome and they have pay binoculars at the top so you can pin...More

Being up so high at night and seeing the lights of Gatlinburg was worth the time spent there. Just watching the people and traffic below was quite amusing.

We visited the space needle at night for the view. The entrance to the space needle is in an arcade with a pizza joint; so, loud with lots of teenagers running around. There is no guide or information on this tour. You take the elevator...More

This place is an arcade with an observation deck. Not really pleased with paying that much for an elevator ride but you learn from mistakes. Take the tram or chair lift for a better experience. Front desk could care less about being there for the...More

you do realize that larger structures have to have some "sway" in them to be structurally sound? i was up there last week, it was plenty windy and we were running around having a great time

Hi Ashley, In the past, I have been in much larger structures with astounding sway. If you read my review you will not find any comments regarding tower sway - just the facility itself. Glad you had a great time!

Is the space needle wheelchair friendly?

Yes! It is probably one of the more wheelchair friendly attractions because it is stationary as opposed to the sky lift. The tram would be as well, but expect crowded rides & waits.
