We're so happy you enjoyed the Wildlife Encounter! All of our animals are rescues and they are all native to the Smoky Mountains. We recently added two red foxes so we hope you'll be able to visit again soon and see them!

While I applaud them for trying to save animals, the place seems very sad. Bears lying around in enclosures that are mostly concrete with one small patch of grass. Bobcats seemed to have a decent enclosure. So too did otters, but still alot of concrete....More

We're sorry that you felt our Wildlife Encounter facilities were rundown. We work very hard to keep our animals happy and healthy and have given most of them a second chance at life. Our facility was updated in recent years, while working within the original...More

They had lots Of animals. Bears, otters, skunks birds, leopards, raccoons, etc. it was a lot of fun watching otters and bears move around. Staff was very informative and answered all my kids questions. It was also very affordable to enter.

This was a lot of concrete and not much land for the animals. We were here in March and it was cold so that could have played a part in the dismal atmosphere. It was nothing but concrete and small habitats. This is not very...More

I know nothing about zoos or wildlife parks but I felt there wasn’t enough room or stimulus for the animals here. We saw owls, turtles, snakes, bob cats, otters, eagles, raccoons, skunks and bears all in what appeared to me to be very confined quarters....More

Went through this exhibit as we experienced Ober Gatlinburg and it was a nice place to learn about the local animals. The only place we saw bears in February!! Something family friendly to do if skiing or tubing isn't in the books.
