If you're interested in Revolutionary War history and you enjoy walking, this park is definitely worth a visit. I wouldn't recommend, however, that you take young children since you'll want to spend time in the Visitor's Center before you take the walking tour. The displays are informative, the gift shop is nice, and the staff are all very helpful. Outside,... More

I spend three to four days a week here walking trails. The park is well maintained and full of historical surprises. Very rarely do i walk in the evenings without seeing deer.

I live five minutes from the park and always take out of town guests here. You can meander through the wooded park and encounter plaques and statutes telling of the revolutionary battle. It's great exercise too. There is a road circling the outer area of the park that is great for walking and encompasses about two miles.

This is a very nicely maintained and laid out National Military Park. The locals quite obviously find this an attractive place to walk and it is easy to see why. The visitor's center has well done displays and features artifacts found on the battlefield. The only downside was the park ranger. He was entirely devoid of personality and had little... More

Nicely laid out displays in the visitor center and well maintained, informative walking paths. We listened to the online free tour as we walked to each stop. The 30 minute movie was entertaining and the map movie gives you great information about how everyone was positioned on the battlefield. Watch both if you have time. We visited on a beautiful... We went during a time where there were additional activities (July 34) so I'm not sure what is usually a part of the agenda. The main center had a nice display and a lot of information about the grounds. The staff was helpful. The gift shop was small but met our needs. The grounds were clean and spacious. The trails... The "tour" is not so interesting. Nothing to see, just some text to read. But the park is very enjoyable for a short walk or for an after-work run. You can expect to see some deers and tons of squirrels.

This is my favorite place to walk. It doesn't matter what time of year or what the weather conditions are, you are always protected by the dense tree coverage. Being a military park there is a lot of history to discover along the way, it makes for a very enjoyable walk.
