Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took a boat to a remote Island town, and chowed down on the traditional Hairy Crabs & Yellow Wine. It a bit scary as the "skiffs" do not exude a lot of confidence... :) Still, we had a good time!

A walk along the lake and dinner at the Fairmount is very pleasant, and you can get a deal where you can use their pool too.

The main focus of the lake is real Hairy Crabs everywhere and at any time - for people who live to eat, definitely the right place to go. However, if you want to see some more sightseeing spots, it is somehow limited - please be aware that half Shanghai is moving here late October and early November, hence streets are crowded in the morning and the late afternoon / evening ...

First time to visit this place for the famous hairy crab. The owner is very friendly and generous. He picked up us from the north wharf and drive to his restaurant. All of the crabs are live and big. You can pick any one you like! Also, it will come with other fresh and delicious dishes together. You won’t regret to have the crabs here! Highly recommend!

A few friends decided to visit Yangcheng lake since we were just not too far away ... In Kun Shan.

The day was fine, n upon arrival we were swamped by many restaurants to patron their place to a feast on hairy crabs.

It was still a little pre mature but nevertheless, visiting some of these restaurants. You cannot resists not having a GO at these beautiful female crabs at its best today.

After much negotiations on the price. We decided to stay put with one, grabbed the fishing net, oh boy .... Did we fish them out well to turn them around on our dinning table.

We had asked for 20. It was beautifully brought out to us. We left the restaurant with full contentment.

Yes, it's a pleasant walk, but it certainly was not anything special. I've had walks around much more scenic lakes.

Join in a group of friends for a over night stay in YangCheng Lake, where is very close to Shanghai. A lot of crab restraunts, and lots lots of eaters. to compare with the crabs we could find out in big cities, it is really a great place to go, and to completely satisfy your stomach. pretty good place.

Loved my walk around the lake even though it was raining a bit. Just peaceful, calm, close to nature. Lovely!
