This is not “untouched nature” as another reviewer put it, it is a theme park in a bamboo forest. There are foggers on a river, pumped river up a mountain, everything is staged and is mostly done really well. Best to come in the morning when the fog sits on the lake. The only thing that really annoyed me were the speakers along the paths repeating some announcement I couldn’t really understand. Great activity for a family. I walked up and down so I can’t comment on the gondola and I rode my bicycle to get there, but I did see the bus and it was faster than I was on my bicycle!

Visited the bamboo forest on my last trip to China. It is well maintained and has great views of the surrounding country landscape at the top of the mountain. I would recommend taking the gondola to the top rather than walking. Well worth a visit..

As a group of 20, we had our own private van that transported us to visit this park. Its a very scenic place , a bamboo forest. Very well organised with buggies that took you to various stations. Basically, you could hike to the peak, which some younger members of our group did. It only took them about 40 mins. The autumn weather was great, just right for hiking. The rest of us took the cable cars. Very nice ride over the tops of the bamboo forest. The peak is very scenic. Well worth a visit.

I took the public bus in order to get there, which was already a challenge and the bus really literally stops at any little street crossing. Finally arrived, the usual overpriced tickets for scenic spots in China and you had to chose for the e-car or not, cable car single or return ... etc. So as I was told walking up is not recommended or impossible, I took the round ticket for the cable car. Being spoiled from Switzerland - I have to say this is may be the world's slowest cable car. From the peak you can see all the bamboo forests, which is a nice view, but not impressive. Before the descent with the cable car again.

A wonderful place, beautiful, a great hike down (we took the gondola up) and a forest of bamboo. Just incredible. The stuff grows to amazing heights. We had a wonderful day exploring and hiking. The place is a bit far out. we got the 201 Bus from downtown. We didn't finish getting down the mountain till 7ish in the evening so asked a few guys hanging around and got a ride with a Didi guy who got stiffed on a pickup so it worked out pretty well for us; but, I could potential for having a hard time getting back.

This place is absolutely paradise. We went to Zhu Hai during on a morning and the air is cool, fresh like nowhere else in cities in China. It is perfect for walks and hikes. In the park, the ride in a cable car to the top of the mountain is highly recommended to see the biggest bamboo jungle in China. There is an entrance fee to the park as well as separate fee for the cable car. To get a cheaper entrance fee, we book through our hotel in Zhu Hai which is just nearby so maybe that's what every tourists should do to save a bit of money. The downside of this area is that its far from the town but still reachable by public bus.

Just amazing, I had no idea china had such beauty and untouched nature. this well preserved area still with a touch of corny chinese additions has to be one of my all time places to visit. This is up there with Austrian Alps, Spanish and majorcan coast lines and flying over the great barrier reef. A definite must see. you can do this over and over again for a couple of hours if you are strapped for time or spend the whole day there. Views at the top are restricted in winter due to the fog but most of the time you get a great view of the forrest and outlying villages. Take your sneakers but the locals will do it in 8 inch heals no problems. take the train around the park and ride it to the last part you can walk to the top here or for a longer hike walk from the bottom. stop and look at the pristine water ways and hanging bridges, temples along the way and in spring and summer they have all sorts of fair style activities and food etc in one of the parks suitable for picnics and family gatherings.

visit this park on my last trip to china october 2015, this is the best attraction you can get in Yi Xing, there are few more spot along the road to Zhuhai like caves and temple. Due to time constraint, only visit this park. Zhuhai mean bamboo sea which the whole area are covered with Bamboo. the garden is clean but too bad the air is quite polluted, could see clear sky.

We drove from city center to the spot which took more than 1 hour, a bit far. the ticket is expensive than its value we think, because inside the park, there's no other places to visit besides bamboo everywhere. The mountain is not so high but difficult to climb, super hot with lots of people surrounded.
Nice a very nice experience but worthy a weekend escape from cities.

Well worth a visit if you are in the area or a nice place for a weekend away , well under 3 hours by road from Shanghai .
In May the whole forest is green and extremely inviting , very clean mountain air and perfect blue skies (at least the 2 days I was there ) .
The attraction has all the facilities you require ,food , drink ,toilets ,places to sit for a rest and also for a few yuan extra you can ride to about half way up the mountain which was quick and saves a lot of time ,then start your walk from that point , this I would recommend . If you do not want to walk then take this ride and just look around ,there is a very nice tea house to while away an hour in comfort or restaurants for an AL FRESCO lunch or just a snack .
I was very pleasantly surprised by how clean every where was , toilets included !!
Well done , I will be going again very soon . Forgot to mention parking , probably because there is lots of it right next to the main entrance ,also the visitors centre which was very helpful
use it and get your bearings before you start , it may save your feet !!!
A lovely peaceful experience seeing these very tall bamboo growing towards the sky.
