It's an hour ride from Allepey , beautiful temple. Famous for its milk payasam which gets served at 1 PM in queue. We couldn't try it as we were running late.

It was said it was the second most important Shree Krishna temple in Kerala. We went there for that reason alone and were taken in by the serenity and non commercialization. A very large temple in the typical kerala style. THis temple is associated with Guruvayoor Temple - the Krishna idol from Guruvayoor was kept in this temple during the invasion of Tipu Sultan.

Most of the people drive without traffic discipline. Beautiful Sri Krishna idol. The temple will be lit with Diyas in the evening all around on special days. Do not... More
