It's an hour ride from Allepey , beautiful temple. Famous for its milk payasam which gets served at 1 PM in queue. We couldn't try it as we were running late.

A very large temple in the typical kerala style. THis temple is associated with Guruvayoor Temple - the Krishna idol from Guruvayoor was kept in this temple during the invasion of Tipu Sultan.

This temple is about 18 kms away from Alleppey town and takes about 30 minutes to reach because of wild traffic. Be extremely careful if you drive in and around Kerala. Most of the people drive without traffic discipline. Beautiful Sri Krishna idol. The temple will be lit with Diyas in the evening all around on special days. Do not... More
