Tikona is a beautiful and easy starter trek. There is a temple and viewing area on the top of the fort. It is interesting to see the guards still dressed in the maratha outfit on the top.

A good hike up this mountain fort. Please note sturdy footwear required for this activity and there is a steep climb on steps close to the top. We used a tour group called ‘journeys’ who I’d recommend for this activity.

Visited Tikona fort over the weekend, took old Pune-mumbai highway (NH4) route- Kamshet- Tikona Peth. Roads weren't bad barring a few small ditches that needs to traversed carefully. With the outset of monsoon weather and surroundings around there were really beautiful, misty and lush green....More

There are lot of snack options en route the fort. Bhajias and Sweet corn were available in abundance. We had wonderful lunch at Tikona Picnic which is close by. There would be few more options available in nearby viallges.
