We went to the Singosari temple and found it to be a typical Balinese Hindu Temple. Unfortunately for us (westerners), the Temple wasn't considered very exciting. Once you have seen one Temple, you have seen them all..

Get in touch with your Hindu. So beautiful and peaceful. You can bring your own sarong, or one will be provided for you. Men also need to have their legs covered.

Use guide if you are interested in History of this temple. I suppose it started in 13th century but was incomplete (not tired & didn't listen properly :P). It is near Legian Beach. Surroundings are full of birds & monkeys (beware). There was not much apart from historic importance & a bit of art. Can visit for the peace of... More

Beautiful place with history, not much to do/see here but looking. Funny to see the offerings to the temple though, some even with lit up cigarets, haha.

This unfinished temple is what remains of the 13th century kingdom of Singosari. Partially restored by the Dutch in 1930's but still uncompleted, this temple is full of history. There are statures in the courtyard and a pair of 400 meter tall Dwarapala statues about 200 meters away down the road. Worth a visit especially for history buffs.

monkeys are thieves! I was walking, taking in the views when a monkey flew up my back and ripped my sunnies off my face. He came from no where.... They will only give your property back if you give them food. So make sure you take some crackers or some sort of food. Or better yet, don't wear your sunglasses!
