Not for swimming

Dangerous swimming beach would be nice to be able to just sit and have a drink without being harassed by sellers

We were quite disappointed by the amount of trash at the beach. We just did a beach walk from Seminyak down to Legian. To be fair, Seminyak was even worse! We wouldn't go here with our kids, not even on our own. It's sad to see places like this ruined by garbage.

Rubbish everywhere, miserable looking touts and stray dogs. It's the wet season so business must be slow.

Stopped on Legian Beach for a drink and to watch the sunset. Drinks from any of the small 'bars' on the beach are cheap and bar staff attempt to make you feel welcome. Two annoying distractions to the beautiful sunset were- a plethora of street hawkers ( selling EVERYTHING from massages, bangles, watches, etc) and mosquitoes after the sun had... More

It's such a shame, I'm sure once upon a time this beach was stunning, but now it's disgusting. There is so much trash on the sand - in my picture below you can see that there is so much white plastic that in the evening it looks like beach is covered in stones and coral. It does have a stunning... More

I am not sure how to describe Legian beach. If you expect to see white beach and blue sea, you'll be disappointed. However, it has its own charm. It is Bali, you can relax, enjoy fresh coconut water or excellent beer, close your eyes and listen to the sound of waves. It is especially beautiful during night, when cafes start... More

Legian beach is just ok. Nothing special here. Can be grubby and windy. Certainly nothing to rave about.
