When I made a trip in Indonesia, paying a visit to a rice terrace was always on my top list. I went to Tegalalang in Ubud and Jatiluwih twice, the former one is too commercial now, with many restaurants built along the passage to Kintanmani. They usually stretched at the edge of a slope, providing buffets to visitors for dining. The main attraction is facing the volcano Batur afar and the peak is usually encircled by clouds. Concerning Pacung rice terrace, newly built restaurants are underway, cranes must be in sight that may spoil your mood. As for Jatiluwih, ups and downs rice terraces bury in a greenish valley. Many visitors walk down the narrow lanes to the rice fields to take photos, of course contributions should be made. Belimbing village is in the west of Bali, I took a two-hour ride from Leigan. Perhaps it is located high above the sea level, the air is extremely fresh but a little bit cold without wearing a jacket. Walking along the edge of the road and sitting in a warung facing the terrace provide two different options, in my opinion it looks quite nice from a distance. Only layers of rice spikes are abundantly seen in other terraces without any reflection of water. But in Belimbing, waterways among the terraces run down from the top to low-lying land, besides the flow of turbulent water sends out a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Under the stretch of a roadside warung, a woman splashed through the puddles and sowed seed into water while two small kids were playing hide-and-seek among trees, what a calm but picturesque village was in sight.

Nice walking trails among rice fields with many possibilities to see people working in their fields.
We were disappointed when some people of the village asked for money to walk on the trails.

Low temperature, very green around, the best rice terrace to see and trekking. Good place to relax or hang out.

Belimbing Rice Terrace is a beautiful rice terrace at Belimbing Village with Batukaru Mountain as a backdrop. This rice terrace features with stunning view, cook temperature and peaceful atmosphere. Furthermore, Belimbing Village is one of the traditional Balinese villages situated about 600 meter above sea level in Tabanan Regency, west part of Bali Island. It is about 30 km from Denpasar Town or 2 hours drives by car. This village own the fertile land with some of tropical plantation. Those are included Durian, coffee, clove, rambutan, mangosteen and much more. Meanwhile, the magnificent view of Belimbing rice terrace with Batukaru Mount as a backdrop has captivated the tourist to come and enjoy this panorama. Rice Paddy Trekking is one of the tourist attractions at this site. It explores the pure natures, rice field and see the local farmer who working in the field.

It was one of the best rice terrace in Subak style I have ever visited. It was one of the best sunrise moment with view of Mt. Agung on the right and Mt. Batukaru on the left. I have been here twice, and it's a good photo spot.

Another interesting place to visit in Tabanan Regency. Another huge rice terraces instead of Jatiluwih. Still natural and far away from the crowds. Check it out and feel the different experiences. Relaxing place!

Belimbing boasts some of the most beautiful rice paddies in Bali. Along the way to the village our eyes feasted on the superb view of rice fields on both sides of the road. The Mount Batukaru can be seen as the backdrop in the horizon. If you tour West Bali region, don't miss this lovely village!

We traveled through the area towards Pupuan to visit the reclining Budha temple. An amazingly beautiful area and much cooler temperature wise than down on the coast. Maybe 21 deg C??
