Off the beaten path, we were happy to experience the hot springs. Dipped our hands and legs for sometime.
Go to the actual hot springs, this has private baths where you can soak yourself in. Ask the locals - they will guide you.
We had a planned tour so our guide mentioned that the spring water flows down so lots of tourists stay below.
You can combine this visit to the hot springs with the rice terrace UNESCO gardens.

It was not far from Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Entrance fee is a cheap Rp 45k per person. There are two open air public hot springs and several private ones. You can use the private room for 30 minutes at no extra cost. The public hot spring at the end of the property is just right next to a beautiful waterfall, so you could go for a dip in the freezing waterfall and then jump in to the warm waters of the hot spring after. It was a nice balance. There were not a lot of people, so we had the public hot spring to ourselves for the majority of the time. There is also a small cafe at the site.

Positive:
- Different pools at different temperatures
- A great adventure; broken roads and broken paths through the jungle.
- Beautiful drive
Negative:
-A family of 5 180,000idr.
- Through western eyes everything looks dirty, dangerous and dodgey.
- The water smells rusty as the water is pumped through very rusty pipes.
- Very very slippery ... esp when entering main pool.
- Toilets cost 2000idr and are not particularly clean and no toilet paper

We be been to quite a few hot springs in Indonesia. Most of them are quite functional - they re places to get a hot bath.
This one is different. We arrive at the bath after going down the hill on a staircase bordered by flowers and trees, then next to well maintained rice fields.
Behind the hot bath is a nice natural waterfall. We had a cooked bath under the waterfall before enjoying the bath.
On the way back, we stopped at one of the warung. They offer very affordable food and drinks with a great view.

Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. This is simply a swimming pool filled with hot, yellow sulphur water but it's worth doing to say you've swam in hot spring water. We were only here 30 minutes and that was enough. Cost 45,000 to get in on the door.
Would I recommend it, yes but it is simply as said so don't expect much but a tick on the hot spring bucket list

Just loved relaxing in the mineral rich waters in the tranquil large pool and two natural small waterfalls next to it. Water wonderfully warm but not too hot as it was a cooler day, we had inadvertently paid in the entrance price for a private bathing pool(35,000 rp $3.50) instead of 9,000rp for pool access only, the private bathing (small Jacuzzi size) were in small tin sheds so we didn't bother and just went in the large pool. There is another smaller pool too, but it is hotter water. On a weekday we were the only people there for a good half hour until another 4 others came (and left after 20 minutes). Just bliss :) Quite a lot of steps down and up, just manageable and not too steep for bali steps! Little warung right up the top has the best view over a beautiful palm tree valley, simple one dish fare, nasi goreng and cold bintang, super cheap and good value. The rain came thundering down while we were eating and turned the road into a river which was adventurous driving out but part of the fun with our driver. Would recommend only to those who have a sense of adventure and want a real bali experience. Take own towel, soap to shower afterwards (wash in your bathers, no private showering area as far as I could see, but there is private individual change rooms). Wear slip proof shoes and take own water bottle/snacks. No lockers but you can leave your stuff right next to the pool. If concerned leave watches etc. with your driver for safekeeping.

This was our ninth trip to Bali and we were looking for something different and interesting to do. We were planning to go to Git Git Waterfall and this was basically on the way. Once off the main road, the side roads through villages got progressively worse. The sign at the turn off said 7km to the hot springs ('Air Panas' in Bahasa) which turned out to be between 12 to 14 km by our reckoning. Our driver did stop for directions a couple of times. We were also told that over the next 12 months the roads will be repaired and they will make an easier access for tourists on the opposite side as the place is becoming more popular. There are a lot of steps down the hillside to the stream and springs at the bottom of the ravine so not suitable for the disabled or unfit (I struggled to get back up). We went on a Sunday and as that is the day off for most Balinese, the place was very busy with about 50 - 60 locals there. We were the only westerners. I would recommend going on a weekday when I am sure it would be very quite. It is out of the way. The scenery is beautiful. Yes the water is milky green but it is full of sulphur and minerals. We weren't there to drink it! Our skin felt wonderful afterwards. Entrance fee was minimal. There were toilets, shower and change room. There was also a small warung (small range of drinks etc). Don't forget to take a towel.

There are several hot springs in Bali, but most are crowed, this one wasn’t, we went about 11.30, and there were about 8 other couples. The temperature was just right. There were about 8 separate private coved pools and one large communical pool.

Hi Tabanan now I will share you! If you visit Jatiluwih dont forget to visit this place because its close to Jatiluwih. Yupdo you want to treat your skin in a fun way? Yas You have to let your mind into a cup of soup (lol) here you only need to pay 9K / person (ticket and pool) and if you want a private pool you have to pay over 35K / 30mnt in it.

Very good sulphur springs, looks murky but we thought it was just the minerals in the natural waters. Excellent for your health and something else for the Tabanan area.
Nonwestern waycee...wc and rather smelly that's the only downside.
