When you visit the museum, walk the trail. Great example of the great plains and what the environment in Iowa was hundreds of years ago. Other than the interstate noise, it is like a walk back in time.

It is beautiful and peaceful! It is a nice trail with varying levels! The greenery is stunning! A wonderful place to workout!

Located within the Herbert Hoover Nation Park. Very nice stroll through natural prairies, similar to what existed during Bert Hoover's younger years.

The beautifully maintained grounds and walkways are outside of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum. A pleasant walk takes you to the top of a hill where herbert Hoover and his wife are interred. The view is lovely and the burial site itself is...More

We bike on this 3 1/2 mile trail twice a week, and many people run and walk their dogs on it. Since the surface is now crushed limestone and not grass, it is easier to look around at the birds and, occasionally, deer while riding....More

While the main portion of the Hoover Nature Trail is relatively short (~2 miles total), it does continue across Baker Avenue for those that wish to get in a longer walk, run, bike, or even horseback ride. The trail resides on an abandoned railroad line...More
