Recently went to Jade Garden in Gapyeong, South Korea it was such a calming and relaxing experience. We went on a late Saturday afternoon and surprisingly it was not busy at all. I suggest coming around 3-4 PM and staying till 5PM or the last hour so you can see the garden during sunset/golden hour. There were so many different flowers, plants, and tree's to look at. A great place to bring family to take a walk or if you want to take a photoshoot with all the aesthetic scenery.

Accessibility: We went here by using the Chuncheon City Tour Bus. It's a hop on, hop off bus which goes to different attractions in Chuncheon Province. I recommend this city tour bus to everyone who's interested in exploring Chuncheon. The bus ticket costs only 5,000 won. If you avail this city tour bus, Jade Garden entrance fee is just 6,000 won instead of 8,000 won.
Facilities: There's a restaurant inside. I ordered the port cutlet and I loved it. (11,000 won), washroom, souvenir store, different gardens which are Instagram-worthy.
Why go here? Well, it has a different vibe compared to other Korean gardens. It has a European garden vibe. ALSO, Jade Garden is the filming location of Korean dramas such as Love Rain, You're My Pet, That Winter, the Wind Blows, and Full House 2. So you can go to Jade Garden and re-live your favorite Kdrama.

Beautiful garden! I spent 3 or 4 hours wandering around, having a coffee and lunch, reading my book. The gardens are really stunning and there is a great relaxed atmosphere.
Could be done in a day trip. Take the metro or ITX from Seoul to Gapyeong, and then take a taxi to the garden.

The facility was clean and the atmosphere was nice as it had just been reopened. There was an uphill slope from the midway point of the arboretum, which made me a bit out of breath, but overall I was happy with the experience.

This is a well-maintained garden on a mountain. Good for one-day trip from Seoul.
- Without a car, you get off at Gulbongsan Station(about 40~50 min from Cheongnyangni Station) and take a free shuttle. If you miss the shuttle, get the next one even if you wait for an hour. It's a long way to go and there's no other transportation until Jade Garden. If you drive, you may also visit Gyeonggang Station Railbike. It's between Jade Garden and Gulbongsan Station.
- The ticket was 9,500 won. I think it's not that expensive. You can spend 2~3 hours to take a walk slowly.
- There are a restaurant, snack bars and a souvenir shop inside. There's nothing outside.
- The garden stretches along the mountain. It's an easy walk and easier walk when you return.
- Employees were very kind.
- The area near the entrance is like an European garden. And higher points are more nature-friendly.
- Managed by Hanhwa which is one of top Korean corporations.

1st stop of our day tour booked in Klook. Was only given a 1.5 hours i think, to look around hence we didn't venture too far away. Just nice, there are a lot of tulips around when we visited.
Don't feel that there's a need to pop by unless you are around the corner.

I love this place. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We came here on winter time. A bit cold here, but in love with the color of trees here and the building here. There is a small cafe here, so you could order a cup of tea, coffee or a hot chocolate here. Make sure you use a very comfortable shoes. You will walk a lot..

I am not sure about summertime views are presented in Jade Garden as by spring there is lack of colours, althougn you could get a peaceful moment to walk in the garden, enjoy fresh air and listen to birds singing. There is also small gift shop with middle rate prices, quite often they do make nice discounts. I can recommend this place for honeymooners as they have photo shoot zone and chapel.
