Lobbed up to course cold. Some guy asked if I wanted to play so I agreed to play later in the morning. Didn't realise he was the golf pro. Turned up and after paying for round he then asked that I pay him 20AUD to...More

I stayed here for 3 to 4 month in total as a member in 2017 and 2018. You will meet Colombo thugs from the golf association who whistle at 15 and 16 year old local Tamil girls. You will see low-level army recruits who play...More

Having taken the train from Peradeniya to Nanu Oya, we stopped here for lunch in the Club House. This was a lovely setting with views over the greens and the lunch was excellent and reasonably priced.

The course is just off the main street, which gives it a unique feel - some holes with people about and watching, crossing the course on public paths and also playing over roads. It's a tight, tree lined, natural course, with overall fairly gentle undulations,...More

We popped in here to find my husband’s great great great uncle’s grave, which, curiously, is within the grounds of the golf course. He went to Ceylon, as it was then, in the 1840s, and sadly didn’t make it home.

A very old golf course but beautifully maintained. Even if you do not play golf, it is worthwhile visiting this beautiful Golf course.
