I definitely agree with some of the other reviews - that the experience is a bit underwhelming as its self-guided with little direction on how to approach it. We arrived by train (from Taipei to Yilan station - which was approximately 85 minutes in the...More

An experience to visit the famous Taiwanese whisky distillery. They have free whisky tasting session for one type of whisky. Mr. Brown Coffee is owned by them so can also enjoy coffee if someone from your group do not like whisky. Worth visiting.

Kavalan turns out some great new spirits, but despite the high level of quality I have to say their lack of organization and passion in showing off their product was rather sad. It was in short the single worst whiskey tour we have ever done...bar...More

The whiskey tour started in a hall, near the reception area. Ample seating, but as there are no soft furnishings to buffer the noise, and when the hall/seats are even half occupied, it makes it quite unbearable to sit through the orientation/tour. There were small...More

Best to travel via a hired transport, as we did. The distillery is some distance away from the city of Yilan
