Good roads, conveniently one way up and down. Limited parking. There are rest rooms near the overlook with parking spaces- suggest parking there and walking to overlook a few feet away. Also suggest taking empty containers on trip and stopping at bottom (exit) to collect...More
A winding one way road takes you to the top where you'll find the tower. Pay $8.00 to either ride the elevator or walk about 10 flights of stairs to the top. You'll find scenic view and plenty of interesting historic exhibits to see at...More
We were in the Hot Springs area on a recent road trip so we thought we would visit the mountain and tower. We were also towing a UHaul car hauler. NOWHERE did we find any advance warnings about vehicle length as we looked into visiting...More
Beautiful, stunning views. Cost is 8.00 per per adult and worth it when you get to the top. It might be boring for kids. Also don't forget to stop on your way back into town to fill up your water bottles with the best tasting...More
Although not managed by the NPS, the Mountain Tower is located about 1.5 mile up the mountain behind Bath House Row. It is accessible by hiking or by driving. You can also sign up for a ranger led tour to the tower (9:30a, 11a).
Great view, the 3rd level (open air top level) was closed due to construction while we were there. They lowered the entry fee to offset not being able to visit the top level, which we appreciated. The 2nd enclosed area still had a great 360...More
There are trails which cost nothing. However, there is the Hot Springs Mountain Tower the cost for that is $8.00 for adults (12 and over), there is a discount for seniors, children 11 and under and military.

The Hot Springs are fed into the bath houses underground and are not actually available for the public to bathe in unmonitored that I know of. The Austin Hotel "The Big White Tower" is where we get mineral baths at. The water is directly from the springs. The cost is about 15.00 and includes robes cool water, etc. Many factors affect the use of a hot spring and the public will usually not use common sense and get dehydrated, and become overheated, causing exhaustion. I would pick a bath house.
