Beautiful free gardens located on the East side of Madison close to Monona. It’s best to visit in spring and summer when there are more flowers to admire. However, strolling around in fall is also very pleasant. The grounds are laid out in such a way that you have a variety of themed gardens such as the sunken garden, the... More

Me and my family have been visiting for years and love it here. It is especially beautiful in the summer and spring. The have a wonderful variety of flowers and plants and a great butterfly exhibit in the springtime. Great for people of any age.

Olbrich Gardens is a oasis in the winter and the rest of the seasons has just stunning floral and plant displays. The dedication of the all the volunteers and employees who work there shows with every turn down a new pathway. The conservatory has all the tropical plants you need to imagine yourself on a warm island somewhere. Keep an... More

This place is so beautiful! You can't really tell from the outside but once you go inside it is very beautiful! My kids loved this place! It is very low priced and tons of fun! If you love birds and scenic places, this is excellent! The walk in the gardens out back and the buildings are also very beautiful. Take... More

We visited on Mother's Day, which ended up being the peak of blooming. These gardens are absolutely amazing! The parking lots were overflowing, but the gardens weren't crowded at all. We paid to visit the dome which had many unusual plants and some birds. This is a MUST visit for locals and tourists alike!

Have visited many times over the years. Lovely, well-tended garden that appears larger than it is due to being so well laid out. The outdoor gardens are free and lovely year-round, even in the snow! The indoor conservatory costs a nominal $2, and its warmth is especially welcome in the winter. It also has a library and gift shop.

This is a magnificently beautiful place to visit in Madison, WI. The people are very nice and helpful if you have questions and the gardens are just amazing. The paths allow you to see many varieties of plants and flowers and there is an indoor stream with many fish. The butterfly exhibit is one of the favorites.

I have been to the botanical garden multiple times. In the cold weather its great to bring the kids there to walk around in the warm and humid indoor gardens. When the weather is nice the outdoor gardens are stunning. I was not as impressed by the butterfly exhibit over the summer. I was expecting more butterflies and maybe my expectations... More

Always has been excellent. Cheap and beautiful. Have been going there since 1970s and has been improving every year.
