I have been coming here for years but never thought to write a review. This little beauty of a garden is tucked away on the University campus. Even many long-time Madisonians overlook this place. It's free and beautiful. Despite it's small size there is a...More

These gardens are much bigger than they appear from the entrance with lots of super cool little surprises and tons of beautiful plants. Really enjoyed our visit. Exceeded my expectations and it is free to boot!

Just happened upon this place while driving around Madison on a Sunday morning. Take a slow walk around the gardens and enjoy all the beauty. Really, do not miss this opportunity when in Madison.

This small garden is tucked into the South East part of campus. Has been a test bed for new plant varieties and designs for small spaces since 1989. Beautifully redesigned and maintained. Always worth a visit and it's free.

I visit it in mid-April, just very very few flowers there, still have some renovation work is in progress, there is a bridge and a pond, the environment is good, I think it should be a nice in summer time with the flowers are blooming.

This is a small garden spot near Lake Mendota. Perfect for a quiet stop on the busy UW campus. Admission is free. Bring a bag lunch and enjoy the scenery. This is a "summer time only" attraction.

I have spent time in the Allen Centennial gardens as a student, photographer, and a passerby. Considering how small the area looks from the outside, the environment is particularly immersive and open once you're inside. If you're looking for a place to read, eat your...More

That's a great time to visit! The woodland garden will be in full bloom, and the spring bulb displays should be near their peak as well.
