I am always in awe of the beautiful capital building the state of Wisconsin has. We used to visit the Veterans museum when it was on the fourth floor. I always called miss forward, Mrs Rennebahm.

Cool place to get out of the heat. We took part of their free tour then heading to the observatory level. All beautiful. Worth the visit.

A must see when stopping in Madison. Beautiful building with a terrific layout. Prettiest statehouse we have visited. Nice cool spot for a break from the summer heat too.

This was a beautiful state capitol - one of the best. Interestingly enough, we were there at the same time as protesters were. They were loudly singing and holding signs in the center of the capitol. Apparently they do it on their lunch hour daily....More

Actually, the tree is dragged (!) inside the Monday after Thanksgiving. It takes a few days to decorate it, and the official lighting ceremony is that Friday, this year, Dec. 1. (I've worked there for 16 years.)
