More reminiscent of our nation's Capitol building than any other state capitol (altho' this state capitol has four wings whereas our nation's capitol has only two!), the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison is impressive outside and gorgeous inside. After the (second) Capitol burned to the...More

Tours on the hour with lots of history. I think Wisconsin has one of the most beautifully capitols in the nation. It used to be open 24 hours a day seven days a week. I wish that was still the case.

The Capitol is the most visible and central structure in Madison. Impressive architecture and dome. A quick 15 - 30 minute walk is well worth it. Many shops and restaurants surround the Capitol Square.

The architecture is beautiful and well worth seeing. Also, don't miss the badger sculpture above the Senate and Supreme court doors!

This is the most beautiful capitol in the USA. It is filled with art and history. I love the Tubas in the Round and other great performances.

This is one of Wisconsin's treasures. A must see if you are in Madison. The marble interiors of the buildings are spectacular and the grounds around the Capitol are beautifully maintained.

There are two options. Meters and parking lots. Both are pretty reasonable.

No entry fee for Capitol, just walk one in. I think the tours cost $. There are magnets at the Walgreens down the street.
