This museum is good for young students (K-3rd grade) to spend no more than an hour. Don't expect to spend too long there or kids will get bored, The day we went was free. Highlight was the dinosaur room at the end, although the others areas can grab their attention. Couple it with a trip to Union South for Babcock... More

The Museum like many places are NOT open on Sunday. I was really hoping to be able to see some of the places after my conference ended Saturday afternoon.

A small, but fun place to visit. It has an excellent collection that includes many fossils, rocks and minerals. Worth a visit.

This geology museum is loaded with artifacts and information. It is a very small museum but bear in mind that it is part of the university and for that it gets the thumbs up. The layout makes it easy to navigate. It's an interesting stop for kids and teens. Cool stuff. There is no admission fee but you can leave... More

We were at the university for an event and happened upon this small, but amazing place. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at the many varied specimens of rocks and skeletons and really enjoyed the room that exhibits the "glow in the dark" specimens too. Ti make it even better, it was free! You can make a donation, but there is no... More

I really enjoy this little Madison gem. I still marvel at the natural treasures that fill up this small museum. I have been visiting since I was a kid and still it manages to amaze! Who doesn't love dinosaurs?

We've visited a couple times with our young kids. The museum is free - definitely a perk - but also kid-friendly. Lots of rocks and bones/skeletons/etc.

This museum is small and caters to groups of school children. The tour guides are good with the kids. The adults can spend about 30 minutes there. It is well advertised, but don't make a special trip. Parking is a hassle.

We stopped by this museum while in Madison because our daughter loves rocks. We loved the variety of specimens, the dinosaur bones and displays. We even saw geologists in action through a viewing window. It was a great place to stop!
