Interesting charms, jewelry, books, and other items relating to Voodoo and spiritualism from the far corners of the world. Mostly a touristy place to visit, but who doesn't want at least one thing from here when they visit New Orleans?

The store is great. You can spend hours there just reading the fine print of everything they have in stock and wondering about stuff. The staff seems pretty bored there but you don't care when you have so much cool stuff to go through. I'd reccomend. P.S. I am not vouching for the authenticity of the stuff they sell. I... More

Touristy voodoo shop was fun and there was plenty to see. We had positive interactions with the staff and we liked our visit.

They offer great tours here and while waiting for your tour to begin this shop has an eclectic mix of all sorts of items. Friendly people with an unusual shop you might just find that unique souvenir to take home.

Walking into this shop with thoughts about inquiring on a tour. We looked around the shop for a little bit. It is very packed in. Looked like a bunch of junk just put about, and the prices were a little on the high side for me. There were people asking about readings, and the clerk just told them that they... More

We were going in across the street to have a drink and I saw this out of the corner of my eye. I sent my friends to have drinks and went in to see if I could get a reading. They were able to get me in so I had a private 30 minute reading. I was a great reading... More

The window display and sign are great and draw you in but once inside there is too much to see and no way to really focus when you do find something you like ... get ready to fork over some cash... then be prepares to have the guy hold even the $5 bills up to the light as if people... More

A tourist shop selling anything from viking rune necklaces to hindu mythology statues and voodoo dolls. Not very authentic but fun.

.... But I guess that's what it's meant to be. It sells lots of quirky and plain weird stuff. I didn't buy anything, as its not my thing, but it's interesting to look round.

The one thing that is very important about all the voodoo shops is that you don't touch anything that doesn't have a price tag on it. The people who work at the shops tend to take the voodoo and artifacts very seriously, as should you. There were things in that shop that my mind will never unseen.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
