Been here a few times for Saints or Tulane football and a Rolling Stones concert decades ago...huge overpriced stadium within walking distance of tge French Qtr and most name hotels. Parking is terrible, food so-so and drinjs overpriced...wait till after the event to get soused. Too bad the local hooligans almost destroyed it after Katrina.

We went here for the celebrity game for nba all star weekend. The stadium is a big and not too hard to navigate. The seats were good and the staff were helpful. Parking was a little pricey at $20. Traffic was a mess to in the area because they had a lot of streets blocked off

OK, you're generally at the dome to watch our beloved Saints or 'aints (take your pick). And most of the crowd is well soused before the kickoff -- even if it's at noon. So who cares about the food. I mean nachos? c'mon. Do you really think that's cheer they pour over the supposed corn chips? It's some sort of... More

Typical of a large venue in any large city. Parking is a nightmare and the location is only convenient to patrons of attached hotel. It was made for football, but also hosts concerts. Food and beverages are outrageously priced and viewing for concerts is poor. The size of the dome related to acoustics make it a terrible place to hear... More

We didn't go to New Orleans to go to the Sugar Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but we decided at the last minute to get tickets and go! We walked from our hotel with thousands of other fans and had no problems whatsoever. Our seats were about 11 rows up and slightly around the corner from the end zone. Great... More

A very impressive looking building which had a big Monster Truck Bash there while we were in New Orleans and there were thousands of families going to this event.

I love watching the Saints and the Steelers play at the dome! There is not a bad seat in the house! The AC can be a little overwhelming when you are sitting in the noise-bleed sections!

My husband has been to the Superdome numerous times for Saints games, but this season was my first home game! We went to a preseason game with a group of friends, only $15/ticket including taxes and fees! A lot of people owe their life to the Superdome during Katrina. After hearing their experiences of locals "living" there for a few... More

Make every effort to see this magnificent building while in NOLA. The Katrina display is a must, hard to believe the effort to restore in such a short time!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
