Great New Orleans Food

The chef here is very talented serving up true south Louisiana cuisine. No tourist trap food here. Good job!

This was a nice place. Once we realized that Bourbon street was just booze, boobs and beads, we spent our time trying to find a more fitting night spot. This place was classy. We didn't have dinner, but they have these cute little hidden booths that looked really romantic. It was a Sunday night and there was a pianist, followed... More

I made reservations weeks in advance for Valentines day based on positive reviews. It was hard to find in an alley of hotel with small red door in the corner. We did not get the table that I was promised. They basically seated people where ever there was room. We came on time for our reservation but had to wait... More

Warning: to reach the Bombay Club, you may have to wade through the chaos of Bourbon Street. But keep going, for your destination is quiet, elegant, grown-up. We were at the Club to see a friend of ours play in a jazz combo, and decided to get dinner as well as drinks. We also reserved a private booth, which was... More

My cousins and wife went out for a drink in New Orleans, as you do. I was looking for Fernet Branca and the first bar I went to on Bourbon St didn't have it, but the Bar man pointed me in the direction of a bar in the Prince Conti Hotel. At first it was difficult to find, as we... More

Great food, quiet place in back of carport of Hotel Conti. Jazz trio on weekends. Great creme brulee, with gran marnier. Romantic, private booths, wood, books, leather. Wonderfully old fashioned!

My wife some friends and I stopped in for a drink after hearing about the drinks here. It is a small bar/restaurant hidden under the Prince Conti Hotel. We entered and were seated across from the bar close to the entrance where we could watch the performer play jazz on the piano. We each ordered a different martini and no... More

The drinks and food were excellent but the food took too long. Our waitress, Nicole, was confrontational and unapologetic when asked about why the food took so long. Based on that alone, I would not return or recommend. NOLA has too many fine options.

We always make it a point to go to the Bombay Club for dinner when we visit N.O. The food is excellent, atmosphere is wonderful, and great music you can comfortably sit through. I found out the owner is very meticulous about good service from his staff and it shows! We were sorely disappointed they no longer offer mussels as... More

Nice gem in NOLA. Perfect place to have a drink (specially a Martini..!) and/or have a nice, relax, and private dinner! I suggest, if you are a couple, that you ask for a boot when you reserve, they will then sits you in a private boot, very confortable and private, where you can relax and enjoy you dinner and drinks... Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
