Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sweet Lorraine's was a suggestion from our uber driver and he was right, it was a great choice. The music was great, even though there was a cover charge that we were not aware of going in, it was just added to our bill at the end of the night. The food was perfect although it came out slowly, we were in no hurry so we didn't care.

Set outside the french quarter so you can actually take the car and park, this club consists of a bar plus a small stage at the back and room for about 25 tables where you can eat and drink. The food is moderately priced and fair quality. But its the music you come for and the atmosphere. A high percentage local audience provides bags of atmosphere. The music varies night to night but has some really good local singers as well as more established acts. Well worth a visit.

Outside the tourist areas -- a great find. It seems I was the only, or one of the few, non-locals in the place (a sign of a great place to begin with). This is what I came to NO to eat at, and listen to. This place has great local food (nothing fancy and not a wide selection, just great tasting and authentic). The staff was, again, authentic, friendly and very attentive. But it was the incredible music that really made this place the greatest event of my stay. Dave Badie and his band were playing that night. This was, by far, the best and honest Jazz I've ever heard. Incredible talent -- all of them and each was playing from the heart and not just because it was gig. They played not just as individuals but as a team with an unseen musical connection between them. This was true musical art. I strongly recommend visiting this club for dinner and music and recommend following Dave (http://davebadie.net/) and his band to where ever they perform.

We wanted a nice adult spot to celebrate my birthday and enjoy a meal and live music...what a treat. Charley C was very entertaining and the food oh my..we were the last couple to eat but the food was fresh and very flavorful. We had the barbeque and fried shrimp...definitely top shelf...just enough spice and seasoning. The adult 40 plus crowd was nice. I was able to relax and enjoy some adult time without the threat of a rowdy crowd. A must do if you are in New Orleans. Parking my be an issue but the food and atmosphere are worth the trouble.

What a place, Hot 8 BrassBand, the place was packed and jumpin Can't judge the food. A problem in the kitchen. The staff tried very hard, on another night sure the food would be great.

I was told this was a great local spot to check out and it does not disappoint. Heard they had a remodel; my first time there but it looks good. GREAT music; the type of spot I wish I could go to in Atlanta every night. Looking forward to going back soon.

I went to this location based on a recommendation from a New Orleans native. The food did not disappoint. It was so good that I tried to finish every bite but the food won...lol! The location wasn't that great and the place could use a MAJOR face lift. The staff was excellent but I thought it was strange that they didn't have any menus...not even a chalk board with "today's choices". They were charging a fee but let us in for free since the show hadn't started and we were just there to eat.

We booked here to see Chucky C as heard he was good and yes he was !

Sadly there were only 10 people there which was such a shame

His band were very good and they had been friends for years

Staff are good ( if difficult to understand ) but helpful

Food was good
