Been to NOLA several times and this was the 1st time for a guided tour. Fortunately ours was a small group of 6 adults which made it very personal. Gail was our excellent guide with a delightful personality. Very relaxed and friendly when giving us "the facts"

This is a two hour tour that I accidentally scheduled for the wrong night. When I noticed my error, I called Magic Tours and they were very accommodating to change my tour date. Wear comfortable, flat shoes as the bricks on the sidewalks are uneven and often missing. We participated for about 45 minutes and I was told that a... More

A group of us girls took the Ghosts/Haunts/Voodoo Tour that takes place in the French Quarter. The tour is 2 hours in length, you do get a 15 minute break to grab a beverage near Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop bar. Our guide was very informative and told tales of all that happened at each place. Whether or not you believe in... More

We scheduled our tour for 8 of the St Louis #1 Cemetery months ahead. The day we were to do it was the day after Hurricane Patricia ripped thru Mexico and dumped on NOLA. Last minute our tour guide had to cancel because she couldn't get across the bridge to the French Quarter so Dawn from the office stepped in... More

Our tour guide Randy was great. He was very knowledgeable and had great stories and knew the history of the Cemetery and the city very well. Learnt a lot about the city that I didn't know. The walk from our meeting place to the Cemetery was not bad; just a few blocks. Got a groupon.

We arrived at the designated spot well ahead of the required time. And waited and waited and finally, five minutes after the tour was to start we left. Was quite disappointed.

We did a tour of the cemetary through magic tours and found it to be a complete waste of money. Our tour guide lacked enthusasim and the knowledge that other cemetary tour guides had. We spent 2 minutes at relevant tombs and 15 minutes that irrelevant tombs (as if you can call anyone's resting place irrelevant, but you know what... More

We had a discounted ticket for the St. Louis cemetary; enjoyed the tour and our guide. There were only 4 of us so it was personable.

My fiance and I went on the St. Louis Cemetery #1 tour last Friday at 1:00pm. I was excited to get Randy as our tour guide, because I remembered reading numerous rave reviews about him. We lucked out with a personal tour, as we were the only people to have booked that Friday afternoon time slot. Randy was extremely knowledgeable... More

What an informative fun 2 hours! The cemetery is "closed" unless you have a tour guide. Mark Faulkner provided a great commentary on the burial practices of this historic town. The walk was an easy walk to and from the Quarter. Tour is a must see.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
