Great gallery with lovely spaces showing the best of established and emerging contemporary artists. recent shows we have liked were by John Alexander and lin Emery, among others. Like going to a museum, except that you can purchase the exhibits if you like them. Worth the easy walk from the street car or the WW2 museum.

Went to see work by one of our favorite artists. Ended up buying a piece by someone we were unfamiliar with. Really interesting artists. Owner is knowledgeable and friendly. Is framing our piece for free (it is small) based on his suggestion.

Stopped in on a recent New Orleans trip and loved the art that was on display here. Some really unique collections that are both beautiful and intriguing at the same time. Definitely worth a walk through if you're roaming around in the area!

We have four pieces in BHM, a couple in Auburn, couple in SoCaro, but there were some amazing pieces on display here and have been since late April and ending in early July 2014. Always fascinated with his story and the more you learn the more jaded one can become, but still the color, movement and texture that he and... More

This was closed when I approached the door, but the owner invited me in to look around. What I found was a fabulous, light, airy, well organized display of spectacular art. Highly recommend, but don't go on a Monday. :)

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
