Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Read about this in the New York Times. Was able to make a last minute reservation. Sara was so accommodating. Our guide, Alex, was nice and knowledgeable. I have a disability and he and Rob were just great helping me onto and out of the kayak.

We had an amazing time with Kayak-it! Colin shared a bunch of interesting architectural, geological, historical, and cultural information about New Orleans throughout the whole trip as we paddled through the beautiful bayou. Kayaking was a beautiful way to experience and appreciate the flora and fauna along the bayou and throughout New Orleans. Colin also shared lots of insightful tips and recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. Thank you Colin for such a great experience! We 100% recommend!

This is a wonderful paddle with an opportunity to learn some new things about New Orlean and see some local fauna. Rob is an excellent guide with lots of knowledge about the regional Social and Geologic history. As we paddled toward Ponchartain, a gator heading up the Bayou swam between the kayaks. Lots of ducks, many with chicks, foraged along the edges and turtles sunning on the banks. This was my second tour and I'll do it again.

This experience was fantastic and the krewe at Kayak-iti-Yat were great to work with! They were super accommodating of the 13 people we had with us. As part of a corporate social group outing, we learned about the history and landmarks along the bayou and everyone left with smiles and fun facts. Cannot recommend this experience with these folks enough.

As always, the Kayak-iti-Yat folks are fun, friendly, knowledgeable about history, nature and kayaks, and the trip is safe, easy, scenic (historic homes and wildlife!) and fairly priced. Even with some windiness, they guided us perfectly around Bayou St. John. This was, I think, my fourth trip with them, and I will be back for many more.

Wow! What a great way to see the city! Our guide Colin was really knowledgeable and was kind enough to take us out in a chilly drizzle so we wouldn’t have to miss due to weather. Even with the rain, we loved every min.
