The concierge at our hotel recommended this tour. He also recommended that we do the "small boat" version. It came to pass that we took about a :45 minute bus ride out to the Slidell area northeast of town. Most passengers ended up on a large boat. My wife and I ended up with Captain Ryan--just the three of us.... More

A driver picked us up at the hotel. He called about 5 minutes before he arrived. The driver was one of our biggest complaints. He drove like a mad man. Some how someone missed being on his schedule that should have been, so we left the french quarter passed the super dome, turned around and went back to the french... More

General tour of the city and several highlights. A decent introduction, and then you can go back for walks to some if the areas on your own. These mini buses get you to the area affected by Katrina and to see the Musician's Village - very nice. But it's just a slow drive by. (Hop on/off cannot go there.) One... More

My tour guide's name was Al and he was excellent! This was my first swamp tour and we toured the area where the people on the river live, we saw the hole where the gator hibernates, and many more sights. Al was funny and very informative. This was a great tour and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We had a a great tour with Captain Al this past weekend. A group of 10 guys rented a van from New Orleans and took a private tour on a small boat. The smaller boat was great for getting around and the captain was very knowledgeable. We only saw a few alligators due to the season but there was plenty... More

Me and my wife took the swamp tour past Saturday - Feb 11. It's a good tour and we enjoyed it. But on afterthought with limited time in new Orleans the swamp tour is not the best use. Alligators or wild pigs can be seen at the some other places as well. But if you are in new Orleans -... More

We did the Swamp Tour this past weekend with Jacob. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and environment. We were very lucky, the animals were really active that day. We saw raccoons, snakes, wild pigs, alligators, and turtles. Many of them came right up next to the boat! It was a lot of fun! We did not rent a... More

We booked three tours with Cajun Encounters at the Hyatt Centric with the help of Helise the Concierge. She was most helpful to us in every way possible and accommodating. We enjoyed each tour and the staff associated with each tour as well. On our City Tour we had a great driver, Rene who on our last day came out... More
