Neighbourhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

Went to both locations over the weekend. Cute cute stuff at reasonable prices. Found the cutest shoes on sale and ended up going back to get another pair before we left town. Don't miss this great boutique.

I am so glad I accidentally found this place in NOLA!! I bought home to Australia quite a few vintage items that I am wearing day in day out.

Ladies inside were lovely to chat to and I love a good shop!

The shop was beautiful and well organized. The ladies who work there are kind and knowledgeable. I was greeted, had a dressing room set up, and was receiving a very personal experience within minutes of walking in the door. I left with beautiful outfits tailored to my personal taste. Everything was wrapped with such care, I felt like I was carrying a bag from a designer store. I couldn't have asked for a better shopping scenario. I can't wait to go back to New Orleans for this one of a kind store. I think I'll leave my suitcase empty and refill it when I get there.

Loved everything in this place! Really cool retro style dresses, vintage coats, cute half sweaters, light feminine sleeveless shirts perfectly matched to their skirt collection, large crown shaped purses, skirts made of flattering material in fun patterns that are perfect for twirling with two deep pockets!!!!! Did I mention loving everything in this place?

Great little vintage shop

Lots of cute "vintage" inspired clothes. I could spend several pay checks in this place. It's not exactly "budget friendly" but definitely worth a splurge or two on the right items.

Best dress shop in NOLA!!!
Sep 2013 • Friends
I was lucky enough to find this little place on Chartres Street three years ago on another trip to NOLA. Since then, I ALWAYS shop and buy something there. This trip was no different! Their prices have a pretty wide range, and I've been known to spend more than I normally would on clothes there. This trip, I bought a FABULOUS tank style dress in a girly floral pattern for $38! They have great jewelry, some of it hand-made by the owners, Interesting handbags and even a few vintage pieces. The staff is always friendly, and I'm still wearing the things I've bought over the last three years. Quality is excellent.

Again, this place is a MUST for me if I'm anywhere near the French Quarter. Highly recommended :-)

Came across this little women's shop
Jun 2013 • Couples
I happened to walk by this little dress shop in the French Quarter and saw a dress on a mannekin that looked like it was from the 1940s era. The salesperson told me they had several dresses made by Effie's Heart in Southern California and their inspiration comes from dresses from the '40s. I bought one of the dresses and love it and hope to spend more time in this shop on another visit.
