Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This place will be perhaps our most enduring memory of New Orleans.

The folks who run this low-key establishment out of their home are warm, friendly and helpful. The fee is $20 a day for bike, helmet and GARGANTUAN lock, and the hours are generous.

In their courtyard, pause a moment to take in the enchanting surroundings. Natural foliage and potted plants find every available spot, and your greeting party will include a friendly dog, roosters (or was it chickens?), and a goat with attitude -- a penchant for butting the backs of knees.

Our host treated us to a short tour of the grounds, and a briefing on far more than biking.

To gain entry: look them up on the net, get their phone number and call in advance. Their version of a doorbell is a rusty cowbell on a gate, and it didn't get anybody's attention when I just dropped by. I had to go back and call. But it was all worth it.

We stayed at the Quality Inn Maison St. Charles on St. Charles Ave. Arts District Bike Rental was just around the corner, perhaps a five minute walk away.

You need to rent a bike in New Orleans. It opens up the city. It's much better than a bus tour. That's much better than just walking around the French quarter. We rented these bikes for $25-$30. They were not fantastic but they were comfortable. We were able to ride them all over the city and lock them wherever we wanted. Rental was a full day as well- gave flexibility to do what we wanted. Pickup location is good launching point to go to Magazine Street and tulane.

Scheduled a ride for my Girlfriend to take place 12/18/2020.
They send me a message on 12/16/2020 saying they will not open for less than 10 after they already gave me link to send to everyone who is participating which is 8 people. I tell him I will let those who participating to register before Friday. Its 11:50 12/18/2020 i received a text that the ride is canceled cause not enough registered. If it's 8 of us I would have easily just paid for the OTHER two spots.
My Girlfriend is from Maryland this her first birthday away from her family and friends so I was trying to do something she enjoys with her son and my friends.
Now its last minute I have to put together an event for her to enjoy her birthday in a new city.
I feel they could have stated minimum amount of riders needed for registration on first contact.
I was recommended by family members but I could have just stuck to Ridenola bike tour.
Search around and make sure they disclose anything that may cancel your tour..
Spend my money else where there is several other bike tours in New Orleans

You can't have your cake and eat it too. When you made a reservation, you requested 15 bikes. At that time, I provided you with a free registration website so your group could register. This is free, and payment is not required. For 2 weeks, no one registered for the ride. As the date was approaching, I informed you that we will require a minimum of 10 people to operate the ride. You told me people would register. The day before the reservation, still only 4 people had registered. I asked you again, and you told me again people would register. Note that you haven't paid anything, nor put a deposit for the ride. Registration is free and doesn't require payment. Eventually, I had to cancel the reservation for lack of participants.

Rented a bike from this place, and it was such a charming experience that I’m itching to return. Finding the place was fun... the owner was very friendly and offered quite a few tips.

A few tips: I thought about packing a lunch for the 24/hr rental... I’m glad I didn’t. Pack light, but definitely pack water.

We headed to Audubon Park... I wouldn’t recommend taking St. Charles even though there are bike lanes. There is quite a bit of construction that made riding the road a little nerve wracking for novice riders.

We took the side/neighborhood streets, and it was much more pleasant.

Lunch was pizza at Reginelles... with $5 (Sat special) Margaritas that knocked our socks off... in the fun NOLA way.

We tired out after a few hours in the bike, but it was nice knowing we had 24/hrs to bike. I’d recommend taking the bikes out to Audubon Park vs French Quarter for a more pleasant experience.

Either way, I recommend this company, and it’s a great way to experience NOLA.

Okay, so go in with your expectations in check! We rented 4 biked for $80, which was at least half the price of the other places we checked. The biked were in good working order and came with baskets and locks. However. The bikes were satisfactory. The helmets were NOT. They were filthy. My daughter's hair had dirt from the unclean helmet. We saw many other bikes in the area, which were very clean and new looking...if this is important to you, you should go elsewhere. For the price we paid we did not complain. Nice people run this place and we would return knowing what to expect!

New Orleans is super flat and the weather is great so we decided to rent bikes for Mardi Gras rather than deal with traffic, fight for parking, and pay for the pleasure of each. It was the most fun thing we did. Arts District Bike Rental was terrific, flexible, friendly, and allowed us to return them at a time that really convenient (and late--they must not sleep). The bikes were sturdy and comfortable and LIT UP at night which was fun and safe. We rode to the Audubon Park (meh), City Park (okay with a cool sculpture garden), and all over the French Quarter and Jackson Square. I definitely recommend it!

Unfortunately the weather was not good and the ride got cancelled. Bummed but understood. They were great about notifying us and didn’t cancel without reason.
