The Exhibition "Empire" was on while I was visiting New Orleans. This gallery space is well situated at the Tulane University and offers a unique opportunity. The Exhibition "Empire" reflected an multi layered and nuanced experience of Tulane and New Orleans history across a range...More

The Newcomb Art Museum is small, free, and in the middle of Tulane's campus. It has rotating art, so what you see in one review may not be what you see for yourself. The exhibit I saw was kind of a hodgepodge of things. There...More

Worth getting off the St Charles St trolley across from Audubon Park and walking thru the Tulane campus to the Newcomb Museum. A small space that has never disappointed. they bring in exhibits that other museums might pass over. On our last trip they had...More

Stopped in to see the Mickalene Thomas "Waiting for Prime-Time Star" exhibit. Amazing show and what a friendly and lovely staff. They took time to greet me (not on the fly but really greet with sincerity), talk (great conversation with the student on front desk...More

It’s a sweet museum, it feels good to be there, with an interesting range of exhibitions. The story behind the Tiffany windows is great. Also, the Tulane campus is beautiful. I thought the “Women of Newcomb” exhibition was interesting. The Newcomb was a lovely surprise.

The gallery is hidden deep in the Tulane campus but it's a beautiful campus to walk through. It is excellently curated. The displays are at eye level, which makes viewing very pleasant. The beautiful pottery, jewelry, prints, and book bindings were done by young women...More

If the Newcomb women's college exhibition is up (anywhere), definitely go see it for its stunning craftsman style work, not only pottery but textiles and printing. A love walk through the Tulane campus after a streetcar ride from downtown.

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the
greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down
the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate

students living in the area ensure that Uptown and
Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly
fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife
