Well worth the prize. An accident with wet painting can't be untold, but after some contacts with the administration we were satisfied. We had a very nice walk on our own down to the valley.

We used the Ahornbahn and Penkenbahn to get up in the mountains. Great experience! We hiked for a few hours and then had a beer and lunch about 2000 m up. What a view, breath taking!!!

The Ahorn is a lovely mountain to visit, you can walk up to the top if you wish, or down to the valley, or you can just wander around at the top admiring the ski cabins and watch the show of birds of prey at 2pm every day. Two good cafes up there, one of which is building some apartments... More

A good well signposted walk from the top of the Ahorn through "The world of Bogs" (hmmmm we were a bit dubious as well)! About three hours with lots of geographical, geological and historical information on the way. Not difficult terrain, just a nice long walk and a bus stop at the end to get you back to Mayerhofen

I had never been to Austria on holiday & this place simply blew me away! Ideal for skiing & snowboarding but I was a complete novice & still decided to give it a bash. There are plenty places to hire equipment, a lot of bars & restaurants that cater for everyone. Make sure you get along to Hans the butchers... More

This was the first cable car ride up the Ahorn on a beautiful sunny day. There are several walking trails to suit everyone,s capabilities. I would recommend the walk up to the Karl Von Edel Hutte.

But yeah, if you're not afraid of hights, very good. It'll cost you, but once you're up there: it's beautiful!

Good conditions even at end of March. Excellent snow park and services on top of the mountain. Great connection with other mountains and slopes from there. We will be back next year
