The fortress is nothing much but there is a WWII German Bunker which may be of interest to war enthusiasts. However the lady guide in the small museum makes all the difference. There is hardly any other tourist guide in Bulgaria, who will fill you...More

The Sexaginta Prista fortress is a very interesting museum that is very close to the center of Ruse. I recommend that you pay for a lecture, the staff is really knowledgeable and friendly!

Very well organized museum with an excellent view and competent and friendly guides. Don`t miss to enjoy a little bit of history if you`re in town.

Once piece of history..The first city built here was called The City of the sixty ships (this is what they say is the translation of Sexaginta Prista). So here you can find remains from the fortress and a museum... It is worth it to see...More

In the 100 meters from the river. We use wrong entrance but the stuff was very kind. I'm not sure is the bobm shelter from WW2 free to aces but they really have this one in the territory of museum.

interesting visit and helpfull guide. He let us in although was not working hours. He was very pationate by his job doing the extramile. I particularly liked the way the walking decks were done and how the informations were placed. Worth visit!
