Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great production, good orchestra, good principals and amazing chorus. Best seats in house €7.50. This small Opera House and it’s Opera, Ballet and Symphony orchestra never cease to deliver.

I saw opera ruse at the international opera festival in bansko in 2015. they performed czardas princess, very well. I decided to visit them at their home theatre and watch nabuco. tickets are ridiculously cheap. 5 bgn £1.80 €2.55 $2.70. beautiful small theatre seats 500. good orchestra, solid chorus, traditional production, good principals. an evening to remember. really worth the visit.

The 1950's opera house is near Holy Trinity Church at one end of the large open square in central Ruse. It is also used for ballet and orchestral concerts.

Located in central Ruse, the Opera House is right next door to the Sveta Troitsa Church, and just a couple of blocks from the Liberty Monument. The building is a very nice, neo-classical structure, with a tall colonnade with Doric capitols at the entrance. It was completed in 1956. The Opera shares the building with the Ruse Philharmonic and the Ballet company. The orchestra plays for all three. The interior is sparsely decorated and offers comfortable seating in the orchestra, balcony and boxes. During our stay in the city, they performed Swan Lake and gave a concert conducted by Jean-Ives Gaudin. The quality of the performances was very good and the ticket prices, amazingly inexpensive.

Don't get me wrong, in 12 months I've seen four operas by Ruse Opera, Csardas Princess, Nabucco, Gianni Schicchi and Cavalleria Rusticana. I've seen them at open air festivals and in their home theatre. The orchestra, soloists and chorus are exceptionally good. The prices ( where applicable ) are reasonable beyond belief ).
The recent Cav at Bansko saw 2,000 spectators entertained with the full orchestra and spectacular Easter Hymn and Intermezzo.
So I went to see their ballet company, at Bansko Festival and, a week later, in Ruse itself. The programme was Romeo & Juliet and a mixed modern bill. In Bansko it was called revelations, in Ruse it was called into the light. Same pieces, same order.
OK. Nitty gritty. Romeo & Juliet - they shouldn't bother. It's excruciatingly poor. Badly staged, terrible choreography, inadequately danced and the lighting was a joke. The plus side, it's only 20 minutes - of ballet hell.
The modern/contemporary programme is a different thing altogether. Interesting choreography, well staged and lit, beautifully danced. World class. The modern programme is an hour, plus a 15 minute interval. Total including Romeo is just under 2 hours. Ditch Romeo.
Worthy of special mention is the drunk Frenchman. Witty, fun, expressive.
Theatre is about 600 excellent comfortable seats with good sight lines.
Suggestions.

A fabulous building in the heart of Ruse with a regular company of singers and dancers with guests. The standard is good and the programme varied.

I have registered and hopefully reserved two tickets for 21/06/2018 but don’t know how to pay for them - can anyone help? Do I pick them up and pay for them on the night?
