Captain Zodiac has entertained guests for over 42 years on our exciting 24-foot Zodiac rafts. You will see the rugged coastline up close as you explore a sea cave and see exposed lava tubes, blowholes and archways.

You will snorkel in the crystal clear waters of Kealakekua Bay Marine preserve viewing over 150 varieties of fish. You must keep a sharp eye out for pods of dolphins, whales and other marine mammals that come close to our rafts.

The Zodiac ride is fast, fun and educational! You will hear about the Hawaiian history of the area, learn about marine life behaviors and learn the island’s geology.

Captain Rick was AMAZING! This is our second trip with captain zodiac tours (both were wonderful), but let me tell you Captain Rick took us to more places, extended our time as we found whales right at th end of our trip and let us really get an experience we would not have gotten without his excellent consideration of his... Collin has been our guide at least 3 times. We did the whale watching trip this time. We saw whales and had a great time. Collin is always very enthusiastic and is knowledgeable. Always fun! I would also recommend the snorkel adventure. We have never been disappointed.

My husband and I took the snorkeling trip while in port with the Pride of America. Due to the timing we decided it was better to take this as a shore excursion rather than book independently and chose the morning trip so we could get off the ship early. Captain Dray (?sp) was excellent. She was very professional and we... More

We booked 4 excursions once we arrived. We selected the Zodiac because we thought being that it was a raft, we would get places faster and be able to get closer to things. While it was faster, we didn't get to spend much time viewing marine life. We had to wait 30 extra minutes from the time of departure to... More

We just finished our 5th trip with Captain Zodiac tours (whale watching this time). Shannon and Zack were great. The whole team there is great. Colin and Buddha...love em! It's a perfect formula: intelligent and knowledgeable staff on fast spritely boats that take you to the whale action quickly. And who doesn't love bouncing on the edge of rubber raft... More

Can't say enough about Captain Chris and Devonte (sp?). We were fortunate enough to see both spinner and bottle-nose dolphins, hammerhead sharks next to our raft, and hump-back whales!! Each time Chris saw or heard a report on his radio that there was sea-life somewhere, he would literally u-turn the raft and head over to the sighting! He didn't rush... More

My wife and I went snorkeling on our recent trip to Hawaii. This was only the second time I ever snorkeled, and the experience was excellent! I not much of a water person, but I was having so much fun that I didn't want to leave the water. I highly recommend even beginner swimmers to go out and snorkel through... More

My wife and I booked directly which was much less expensive than through the cruise ship. Our Captain and life guard (Devonte) were personable and full of great info on the island and local culture. We snorkled near Capt. Cook memorial and saw plenty of colorful fish and coral. Large pods of spinner dolphins followed our boat and pit on... More

Went on this excursion during my December 2016 visit to Kona. What a fantastic raft ride! Snorkeling was beautiful, so many different fish! Our guides Zack and Lindsey were fantastic! 5 STARS!

The whole family enjoyed our early morning raft expedition to see and swim with spinner dolphins. We went to the bay in front of the Royal Kona Resort and were rewarded with several pods of dolphins and two humpback whales. Loved it!
