Most of the galleries were closed

One of the gallery owners said it's kind of random as to which galleries are open at any time. But the few we went into were full of very nice art. Not at all the amateur level we sort of expected.

Artist community and coffee growers

A fun place to go for morning coffee and walk through the art galleries. spend maybe couple hours there. The drive along the Holualoa road is very pretty

Beautiful Art Galleries and Shops

We enjoyed our excursion to this unique little town. The art galleries were beautiful and the shop owners so friendly. We especially enjoyed chatting with the owner of the ukulele shop.

Friendly artists, spectacular art

We loved our visit to the village. We particularly enjoyed Shelley Maudsley's gallery. Her paintings are so vibrant and stunning. She was very friendly to us and clearly enjoys talking about her art and processes.

cute section of Kona for art lovers

This was once a little Japanese village along the road, now filled with art galleries and boutiques. Fun art and jewelry to see.

Fun Trip. Few People!

We wanted a break from traditional visitor activities so drove up the hill to explore this village. It's very quaint and fun with just a few galleries operated by very nice and knowledgable artists. The cafe and coffee shops are also very good.
