Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The bay in Seward. I came here 10 years ago, and the atmosphere hasn't changed at all since then. I took a half-day cruise like last time, but this time I only encountered small sea otters and seals. I guess it can't be helped, since you're dealing with nature.

Beautiful Bay with great wildlife. Got to kayak all along the bay and we took time to pull up on the banks for a lunch and explore the rain forest. This is a beautiful bay. The air quality is amazing and so much grows and lives in this area.

We rented an RV and came down to Resurrection Bay for a couple nights. We were not disappointed! What a fantastic place to hang out. Friendly people, gorgeous views, eagles! A local even brought us fresh-caught salmon to roast over our fire! We loved it so much we stayed an extra night.

So much to see here, and many camping spots along the bay. Better weather would have been nice, but we had a lovely sunrise the last day we were here. This is where a few of the cruise companies arrive from Van Couver and Seattle, so those are a great way to get here besides the bus we took from Anchorage.

This place has such incredible views. We visited by boat but also saw it from at the sea life center. The rocks form its own island and the water green and sometimes blue. There are so many photo opportunities. The mountains make an amazing backdrop.

Went for the glaciers but the entire 6 hr tour trip was very enjoyable. Resurrection bay is so beautiful i can see why people live in Seward to be close to this natural space. Rock formations and all the wildlife among them were fascinating to watch. Worth the time!

Our first impression of Seward was a bit of a let down. Our hotel was not as expected and the view during the drive into town was gritty. Once we arrived at the Small Boat Harbor, we were greeted with jaw dropping beautiful, absolutely stunning views. The Bay is worth the trip to Seward alone.

My wife and I stayed in Seward on the shores of Resurrection Bay for 1 night at the Best Western Plus Edgewater Hotel during our escorted tour of Alaska with Titan Travel. As we approached Seward on our motor coach at the end of our journey from Anchorage along the Seward Highway and the Kenai Peninsula, Resurrection Bay came into view and what an incredible sight! It's breathtakingly beautiful surrounded by the snow and glacier covered peaks of the Kenai Mountains within the Kenai Fjords National Park. The sunny and clear weather we had during our short stay enabled us to make the most of the wonderful views and to see some amazing wildlife. My evening walk along the shore between our hotel and Seward Harbour was very rewarding with sightings of sea otters, seals, a bald eagle, seagulls and cormorants. As it wasn't high tide, I also saw a variety of seaweed covering the rocky shore as well as snails, mussels and crabs in between the rocks. Our stay unfortunately didn't allow us enough time to take a cruise into the bay where apparently the views of the mountains and also of deep fjords and shallow coves are even more spectacular. The wildlife is also apparently more abundant and varied out into the bay and it would have been wonderful to have sighted some of the humpback whales and killer whales who often feed in the bay. This bay is well worth visiting and Seward is a good base to explore the area. Should we return to Alaska, a longer stay in Seward is a must so we can take a cruise to further explore the serene beauty of Resurrection Bay.

If you take a tour of the Kenai Fjords, you will cross Ressurection Bay out and into Seward. The bay offers spectacular views on the way to the fjords, plus you will encounter sealions, seals, whales, and will stop at the cliffs polluted with all kinds of magnificent birds. Their noises will amaze you!

Leaving Seaward and cruising out through Resurrection Bay was truly tranquil.
Running out past the Kenai mountains Mt. Marathon rising steeply behind the town of Seward.
Resurrection Bay is great for photo shots. Leaving Resurrection Bay into the Golf of Alaska was truly fabulous scenery and views.

Hi, what would you like to know about this attraction? I am planning our Alaskan Cruise for Next year and our last port of call is Seward. We them have a 12 hour layover before we catch the train to Anchorage. I was planning on taking the Seward cruise with dinner on Fox Island. Would we be able to take our luggage with us and if not, do you know where we could safely store them ?
Also, can the shuttle bus drop us off at the train station afterwards or do we need to find our own transportation?
Thank you for your assistance.
