We didn't do this as a walking tour as it was cold out and we didn't want to walk it. So we drove around and found all the murals that we could. Most were pretty cool and very well done. One of the top things to do in the city. Had fun walking around in search of murals. Some provided historical perspective but all very worthwhile to see. Especially liked "Postcards from Our Past" and "Iditarod Trail".

Seward is a great small town where you can walk around and just about every 2 blocks or so, there is a wonderful painted mural that depicts the natural surroundings and history of Seward. Starting over at the Seward Visitor's Center upon arriving from the Seward Highway, stop over there for a map and pictures to locate all the different murals that are scattered around the town. They are all interesting, colorful, and depict a lot about the history of Seward. You can park at the Small Boat Harbor for 1/2 hour free, after that time period, you will need to pay $10 a day for the parking. The murals include Kenai Fjords, Iditarod, Earthquake of 1964, and Alaska the State. Well worth to stroll around town with your map and description on each of the murals. You will learn a lot about the town of Seward!…

There are lots of murals painted on building walls all over the town of Seward. You can drive around or walk up and down the streets to see them. We had a street map of Seward which indicated where you could find each of the murals and simply drove to the ones we particularly wanted to see. However we saw many more as we drove around the main downtown streets. It was a fun thing to do both for adults and kids.…
