Enjoyed a leisurely visit to the abbey yesterday. Purchased the audio guide (5 euro each) which I recommend as a necessary addition to the enjoyment of the abbey. The English version audio guide is very well done- thorough and easy to understand. Lots of opportunity...More

If you like architecture and historical buildings then this is a must. There is a serenity in the air with several surprises. The quality of the renovation and mosaiques is exceptional. Well worth a detour if you are passing Tournus.

This is a wonderful Abbaye and I recommend to visit it. There is no travel guide on Burgundy which coud afford not to mention Abbaye Saint-Philibert. However, I also recommend to rent an audioguide (2,50 EUR) as it is really worth it. It provides lots...More

Stunning Abbey with recently uncovered Roman mosaics. It goes back a long way as does the beautiful town. Highly recommend a climb up to the tower,

A beautiful abbey beautifully maintained. The Taize music that was playing today was so appropriate and appreciated.

The Abbey in itself is worth a visit for its fine arhchitecture and setting. Would recommend combining it with a walk around Turnus, which is a delightful little town and a visit to the Saone quayside.

A spacious, calm and beautiful cathedral. Take the time to explore the quietest corners, and especially the crypt, which is just perfect (light switch on your left as you go down the steps). So much to see - take your time. A very special place.
