Soak up the wild beauty of inland Yukon, Canada’s westernmost territory, on a shore excursion by minibus that follows the famous Klondike Highway from Skagway, Alaska, a stress-free option for visitors that want a comprehensive tour. Multiple stops are made for photos and wildlife sightings are possible. Visit Caribou Crossing Trading Post for an insider’s glimpse into local culture. Enjoy a hearty lunch, visit the Museum of Yukon Natural History, and see a dog sledding camp. Pass through the Carcross Desert on the return to your Skagway port. I got the cutest boots ever. Everywhere I go in So Cal. people compliment me and ask where they can get a pair. I tell them at the Loom in Skagway. They are so unique and so in fashion. I just wish I could order a pair for my daughter.

Everything is locally hand made or woven. The products are of high quality & very beautiful. I was there near the end of the 2019 season & purchased a nicely hand crafted leather wallet for half price.

Skagway was one of the stops on our Alaska cruise in May of this year. Skagway itself is a small town with the White Pass Railway the major activity for tourists. The town itself has numerous "gift" shops. In common with other coastal destinations in Alaska we found that as well as the normal tourist tat type shops there are a number of establishments offering high end products. If you want something unique to take home do visit The Loom which offers a range of woven products (bedspreads are excellent) and other hand made gifts. Wendy gave us excellent service.

This is not your ordinary hand made item store, it is art excelled to a higher level. There are shoes made from textiles woven by locals. They are beyond magnificent! The pillows, bags, rugs and more are just as impressive and unique.

Stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. Found lovely hand loomed pillow cases with indigenous animals on them in great colors! Plus they were buy 2 get 1 free. Other items were much more pricey, but if you have the budget, you could get some awesome shoes, boots, bedspreads, runners, etc., all done on a LOOM, of course.
