We a party of 8 took a day tour to Yukon & white pass which was a lot better than the train. The guide drove us to so many special lookouts to take photos and included the dogs sledged ride was a great experience. It costs us about CAD100 each.

We enjoyed a great train ride on the White Pass Yukon Route. Enjoyed our meal at Jewel Garden. Would recommend this excursion to anyone.

Took this wonderful 3 part trip from our cruise ship. Got to ride the train up the mountain to the top of the pass and the narration was very informative and had great nuggets of local info in it. The scenery was beautiful when the mist lifted. At the top of White pass our bus picked us up and took us over to a large suspension bridge and that was truly an awesome site to see also. From there we went to Jewell Gardens where we were served a delicious lunch in the greenhouse/tearoom. The gardens were beautiful and extremely well kept. Saw glass blowers there doing their craft also. This was finished off with a stop in town to shop if you wanted to. Our driver was wonderful too. …

This was a tour booked through Princess. We arrived on the Crown Princess and it's a 15 min ride to the train entrance. From there it's a beautiful ride through the mountains, flowers, bridges and tunnels. The views are spectacular, but we were really lucky to have sun and warm weather. Stood the whole time between the cars to get movies and still photos. Afterwards, at Fraser, take a bus to the Yukon Suspension bridge in B.C.,Canada. Very sturdy bridge and handles plenty of people apparently. Can be crowded here. Nice view of the river below. From there down the Klondike highway and listen to poetry from the tour guide (Tony?) who is excellent, by the way. Stop for lunch at Jewell Gardens where you can do some nice macro photography of flowers. Very colorful plants and blown glass spewed about. The lunch was Salmon or vegi quiche with a desert. However, it was very sunny and they don't have shades on the garden side where they told us to sit. It was very uncomfortable and the butter turned to liquid and spilled on table and clothing. They should be more careful. It was also a long wait to get served and we were anxious to visit the Jewell Gardens. Bring mosquito repellent. There should be an option to skip lunch and eat in town, but then you'd be paying too much for the tour. This was the 7.5 hour tour called "Klondike Scenic Highlights and White Pass Railway". Requires Passport.…
